Bulk Downloader

Quickly download multiple files at once. Paste your list of URLs, and the tool bundles everything into a single ZIP archive for a seamless, one-click export.

What does this tool do?

Bulk File Downloader is designed to eliminate the need to download files individually. It takes a list of direct URLs provided by the user, fetches the content of each file via a proxy server to bypass CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) restrictions, and aggregates them into a compressed ZIP archive.

How it works

  1. Paste URLs into the textarea, one per line.
  2. Click Download All.
  3. The tool contacts each URL through a proxy, validates the files and stores them in the browser.
  4. Progress and results are shown in real time.

Limitations

  • File size limit: Each file is capped at 50MB. Larger files are rejected.
  • Allowed file types: Only common documents, images, archives, audio, and video formats are supported.
  • Sequential downloads: Files download one at a time to respect browser limits and avoid triggering download blockers.
  • Rate limiting: Requests are throttled to prevent abuse of the proxy endpoint.
  • Remote availability: Files must be publicly accessible. Password-protected or private resources will fail.

Supported file types

  • Documents: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plain text, CSV, JSON, XML
  • Images: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, TIFF
  • Archives: ZIP, RAR, GZIP, 7Z
  • Media: MP4, WebM, MP3, WAV

Why the proxy?

Direct downloads from third-party URLs often fail due to CORS restrictions or the download attribute being ignored on cross-origin links. The proxy fetches the file server-side and streams it back, bypassing these browser limitations.

Tips

  • Use direct links to files. HTML pages will download as .html files.
  • Keep the tab open while downloads run. Closing it cancels pending downloads.
  • If a download fails, check the URL and try again individually.
